Semester 01
04 / Course Roadmap / 16 Meetings

ONE SEMESTER.
16 OBSERVATIONS.

Every meeting begins with observation. Not every observation requires leaving the campus.

Architectural Drawing 01 is a continuous visual laboratory supporting Studio 1.

Students observe their surroundings, practice drawing, interpret space and continuously bring those observations back into architectural design.

Semester Principle
Observe every week.
Go outside when the observation requires another place.

Draw what you see. Use what you learn.

Field Study Philosophy
YOU CHOOSE THE PLACE.
THE PLACE TEACHES YOU.
Field study is not a compulsory architecture tour.

Students are free to choose a place that is meaningful, curious, unfamiliar or relevant to their Studio 1 project.

The lecturer provides the framework and question. The student chooses where to look.
